United Networks of America and Michigan Rx Card Give Back to Sparrow Children’s Center
On August 8, 2018 Rob Sorge, Michigan Rx Card Representative, presented a check to Sparrow Children’s Center.
Ms. Karen Restum, Department Manager Pediatrics, was pleased to receive the check donation in the amount of $1,310.30.
Ms. Restum along with Stacie Peltomaa, Development Officer, CMN Hospitals, gave Rob a tour of the recently renovated pediatric department and playroom. Michigan Rx Card has been working closely with Sparrow Hospital along with numerous clinics and hospitals around the state to distribute free discount prescription cards so that all Michigan residents will have access to this free program. These monetary donations help purchase new equipment, medical supplies and fund medical research. A donation will be made to your local CMN hospital each time a prescription is processed using the Mihchigan Rx Card. Since 2015, the United Networks of America partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised over $2.4 million dollars for local children’s hospitals. Of this, $1,310.30 has been raised for Sparrow Children’s Center.

Michigan Rx Card, Powered by United Networks of America, Presents Donation and Tours Hurley Children’s Hospital
On July 18, 2018 Cameron Rowe, Michigan Rx Card Representative, presented a check to Hurley Children’s Hospital. Ms. Linda Tracey-Stephens, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Director, was pleased to receive the check donation in the amount of $1,645.10.
Cameron was given a tour of the hospital, including playrooms for the children. Linda and Cameron discussed arranging meetings with outpatient clinics and participating in future events to continue to raise awareness for the Michigan Rx Card and its CMN partnership. A donation will be made to your local CMN hospital each time a prescription is processed using the Michigan Rx Card.

United Networks of America and Michigan Rx Card Give Back to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital
On May 23rd, Rob Sorge and Cameron Rowe, Michigan Rx Card Representatives, presented a check to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Jim Steenbergen, Lead Foundation Specialist, Imelda Brower, Program Coordinator, and Russ Hoekstra, Manager of Child Life Services, were pleased to receive the check donation in the amount of $1,903.25.
After the presentation, Rob, Cameron, and Jim discussed plans to distribute CMN “Thank You” postcards throughout the community and to collaborate more closely over the upcoming months in order to raise awareness of the Michigan Rx Card and CMN relationship and to increase donations to the hospital.

Michigan Rx Card and United Networks of America Present Donation to Beaumont Children's Hospital
On May 22nd, Cameron Rowe and Paul Ormsby, Michigan Rx Card Representatives, presented a check to the Beaumont Children’s Hospital. Kimberly Tyle, Senior Associate Director, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and Kathleen Grobbel, Child Life Supervisor, were pleased to receive the check donation in the amount of $6,978.90.
After the presentation, Cameron and Paul toured the Beaumont Children’s Hospital with Kimberly and were excited to see how the Michigan Rx Card donations are contributing to saving children’s lives. The three discussed plans for sharing the CMN thank you letter at local businesses and Kimberly asked if they could conduct presentations for some of the 170 outpatient facilities that support the hospital. All parties were excited to continue working together to increase donations for Beaumont Children’s Hospital.
